OPENING NIGHT SHOW SET FOR FEB 18TH
TICKETS TO THE PUBLIC ON SALE FEB 1ST
You do not want to miss Opening Night of Fight Club OC Year #6 on Thursday, February 18th in The Hangar at the OC Fair & Event Center. Fight fans will be treated to All Americans… European Champions… And three undefeated boxers.
Lets start with two 10 round bouts featuring two undefeated fighters with credentials to back it up. It will be 5-0 heavyweight Sergey Kuzman tentatively set to face tough 6-5 Avery Gibson in one 10 rounder. Kuzman is a former European heavyweight champion and has a win over 2008 Olympic gold medalist Roberto Cammarelle. The second 10 round bout features a boxer who many are calling the next light heavyweight champion of the world in 6-0 Dmitry Bivol. Bivol just won the WBA Inter Continental Title on November 4th with a KO win over Junior Jackson. He is currently the 35th ranked light heavyweight in the world!
Plus, getting back to its roots of featuring local fighters, the February 18th show will feature the pro debut of Anaheim’s featherweight Carlos Gonzalez and Santa Ana’s tough prospect 8-1 Max Berrera. Gonzalez, who is managed by David Serna will face another pro debut boxer in Guadalupe Arroyo who trains out of Grampa’s Gym in Garden Grove. Berrera will take on a tough 3-1 Alejandro Osuna out of Mexico.
Also on the boxing side of the show, it will be “The Fight of the Night from our December 3rd show” in a rematch, when 6-0 Ruslan Madiyev faces Thomas Herrerabut this time it will be for six rounds and Herrera is out to put the first loss on Madiyev who is trained by Abel Sanchez. This was a war in December and it will be fireworks in February!
Not to be overshadowed FCOC will feature two mixed martial arts bouts that will be about as good as it gets! Let’s start with former NCAA All Americam wrestler Ryan Lang, who after a hiatus from the cage will be back in action bringing his 4-1 record against 8-6 Justin Governale who is an active Marine out of Camp Pendleton.  Lang was a two time All American wrestler out of Northwestern, All Big 10 three years running, and finished second in the NCAA Championships in 2007. The other MMA bout will be all Orange County as Christian Gonzalez out of Santa Ana will be making his pro debut against Huntington Beach’s 0-1 Joe Cisneros.
